Strategic Account Product Rep

Job Responsibilities:


This position is the main contact for internal customers regarding current and potential strategic account products and their interaction with regulatory, quality assurance, operational, financial, legal and business development.  This position is directed by Strategic Account Executives.  The strategic account product representative is responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Strategic Account Executives and assuming a leadership role in their absence.

Job Qualifications:


  1. Handles the following product ownership responsibilities:

New Products:

  1. Facilitates and schedules meetings with R&D to exchange information on development of new products and modifications on current products based on market or strategic account requests.
  2. Coordinates product development efforts for new products.This includes scheduling with R&D and Production; evaluating format, packaging, and compilation of data; and developing comments for substantiation claims.
  3. Coordinates and gathers all pricing information, as well as, up-front fees for new products or changes to existing products.Insures that pricing information is approved by Finance and Executive Management prior to placing orders.
  4. Insures that new product checklist procedures are followed for all new products developed.
  5. Follows products through the system and assures they meet Streck’s performance and quality standards.


Financial / Legal:

  1. Assists with yearly Strategic Account product forecasts.
  2. Collects information for Board of Directors reports as needed.
  3. Manages, facilitates and resolves invoicing, payment and billing issues regarding strategic account relationships.
  4. Ensures appropriate patent information is reflected on printed materials.


Regulatory/Quality Assurance:

  1. Initiates approval documentation for labeling on new products and revisions of current products for vial labels, outer packaging labels, package inserts, and assays.
  2. Insures that the appropriate documentation occurs when product / manufacturing process changes, deviations, change forms, or scrap tickets are generated.
  3. Ensures strategic account documentation procedures are written in accurate, current and compliant manner with the quality management system requirements.
  4. Coordinates strategic account and Streck quality assurance/regulatory affairs discussions for data collection and foreign country registration assistance.
  5. Approves all printed material from Advertising.  Reviews and modifies any printed materials prior to order placement including all labels, assays and inserts.


Customer / Technical Service:

  1. Assists, facilitates and manages EDI failures, errors and / or issues pertaining to corporate accounts.
  2. Assists, facilitates and manages order errors, issues, changes and resolution for global order placements and shipments for corporate account products.
  3. Handles requests for assistance and investigations pertaining to strategic account products.


Operational (Manufacturing / Distribution / Procurement / MIS):

  1. Manages implementation of and changes to product specifications pertaining to strategic account products.
  2. Coordinates all strategic account product labeling implementation plans for new and revised artwork as well as any issues pertaining to strategic account product labeling.
  3. Facilitates the implementation, change and / or non-conforming product performance vents related to strategic account products


  1. Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, marketing, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of related sales/marketing experience with knowledge of general clinical or technical laboratory operations and procedures.An advanced degree may offset a portion, but not the entire experience requirement.
  3. Must have a minimum of 1-3 years Streck product management experience.
