Job Responsibilities:

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will be responsible for driving sales revenue to meet or exceed territory forecasts and develop new customer contacts and sales opportunities.  The Account Executive will develop key relationships through frequent and routine customer visits and product demonstrations with a narrowed focus on prospecting, qualifying and closing new opportunities to drive new incremental sales and revenue growth.  This position may require up to 50% travel including some weekends, tradeshow attendance and responsibilities outside of the traditional work day.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

  1. Prospect and qualify new customers with an emphasis on new business.
  2. Build new and sustainable customer relationships through frequent and routine customer visits and product demonstrations.Facilitate Streck sales process from start to finish and proactively addressing client needs.
  3. Prepare and deliver effective presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
  4. Respond to customer questions, concerns or feedback by handling feedback in timely fashion to ensure customer satisfaction.
  5. Develop quarterly business plans and strategies designed to achieve revenue targets with tactical detail by product line and customer within the assigned territory.
  6. Prepare a monthly sales report with new sales opportunities and closes.The report should also summarize business obstacles along with competitive and marketing information.
  7. Develop assigned territory compliance management using CRM tools and reporting metrics.Conduct business gap analysis of actual performance against goals and forecast.
  8. Participate in conferences and local meetings to generate new sales and increase awareness of Streck throughout the diagnostics and bio-technology industry.
  9. Develop a cooperative working relationship with distributor representatives in their territory.
  10. Negotiate special pricing with customers as necessary and provide appropriate pricing justification to management.
  11. Maintain current and competitive knowledge on product lines, programs and competitive industry knowledge.
  12. Collect competitive data and remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends.
  13. Suggest innovative ideas to increase sales and showcase company products.Suggest improvements to enhance or improve the customer experience.
  14. Ensure on-going communication with Sales Managers, Customer Service, Technical Services, Marketing and all other appropriate personnel to ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
Job Qualifications:

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or life science required. An advanced degree in life sciences or MBA is preferred.
  2. A minimum of five (5) years of sales experience required along with two (2) year minimum of applicable Streck account management experience or outside sales experience strongly preferred.
  3. Must be dependable, well organized, be able to communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, and possess excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  4. Territory management may require regular airline travel and overnight stays in order to perform the essential functions of the job.Travel is estimated at 50% which may include time commitments outside of the traditional work day.
