Job Responsibilities:

Candidate is responsible for providing assistance to IT development staff for test case development, review, and improvement, relative to both in-house developed applications and purchased applications. Responsible for identifying and assisting in or resolving issues of moderate complexity in support of business automation needs. Candidate is proficient in Microsoft Team Foundation Server .NET environment relative to testing tool use, configuration and application of same.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:

 

Quality Assurance Duties

  1. Assists others in IT in establishing and executing appropriate system test cases, regression testing, unit testing, stress/load testing, and security testing for both in-house developed applications and purchased applications.
  2. Participates in and contributes to code reviews, database reviews, security reviews and test case reviews.
  3. Utilizes and complies with internal standards as they may exist, improving upon them where appropriate.
  4. Assists in Validation processes, insuring that IT is compliant with required standards in place at Streck.
  5. Works with others in the company to understand and apply regulatory requirements (ISO, FDA, etc.) to IT processes so as to advance IT capabilities toward regulatory compliance.
  6. Documents custom programming and systems, and changes as applicable.
  7. Assists in support of and troubleshooting of operational problems relative to application systems.
Job Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science preferred or combination of associate’s degree and related work experience can substitute.
  2. Minimum preferred two years of experience in testing computer software applications or related role.
  3. PC proficiency with good working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel), Team Foundation Server and other testing tools.
  4. Thorough working knowledge, experience in, and understanding of testing concepts, methods and processes.
  5. Thorough working knowledge of personal computers, database concepts, and networks.
