Job Responsibilities:

Research and Development Intern

Streck is seeking candidates for a research and development summer intern to work with our scientific professionals on product enhancements and new product development. This position will primarily work within the scope of our immunology and biomarkers group.  Primary responsibilities will include setting up experiments, running samples, making solutions, testing new products and analyzing data.  This is an excellent opportunity to put your technical skills to work in an industry setting!

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Preparing human blood samples and running on a flow cytometer
  • Preparing samples from human plasma fordroplet digital PCR
  • Data analysis and interpretation
Job Qualifications:
      • Junior or senior standing pursuing a degree in biology, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, cellular biology, or biochemistry.   
      • Know how to use basic laboratory equipment
      • Hands-on PCR or flow cytometry experience in either research or a clinical setting is strongly preferred
      • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Capability to deliver on project timelines individually or in a team setting
      • Dependable and well- organized with demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
      • Experience with multiple molecular biologic methods/techniques and knowledge in flow cytometry techniques and applications is a plus
